About ShantiWorks

ShantiWorks is a small feminist, social justice organisation designed to work for equality, peace and justice. We aspire to live these principles through all of our work; workshops, projects, reflective supervision, counselling, training and consultations. A lot of our work is in the family violence sector.

Our core principles: 

• Social justice issues require collective responses

• We have ethical choices for doing and being in the work we do

• Institutionalised inequalities in power mean that not all voices carry the same weight – it is not an ‘equal playing field’ for all

• Those we serve and who are most marginalised should be at the centre of the work

• Lifelong learning and critical praxis through disciplined commitment
