Sexism is built into the institutional structures of a culture, and persists because it is accepted and practiced in the everyday by us all. This workshop creates individual and collective opportunities to expose and challenge sexism and then offer alternative practices for gendered power relations.
This workshop creates individual and collective opportunities for awareness-raising and learning about gender equality, sexism and its links to men’s violence against women. It is a reflective space for participants to review their thinking, their actions, their responses to and engagement with gender and violence prevention.
This workshop names and explores how sexism is present, perpetuated and marketed in our community, its impact on us and our relationships, and its link to men’s violence against women.
